For advanced deployments where the grommunio Appliance cannot cover all requirements — install grommunio base system and core groupware manually on your chosen Linux distribution.
When to choose manual installation
While the grommunio Appliance delivers a comprehensive solution for the majority of installations, some special requirements may not be possible to satisfy with the appliance approach. For these cases, the grommunio base system and core groupware can be installed manually with guidance.

grommunio packages are available for major enterprise Linux distributions. Visit the download repository to browse all available packages and versions.

Please note: Manual installation is only recommended for adept administrators who are experienced in advanced Linux administration and configuration.

Add the grommunio repository
Add the appropriate grommunio package repository for your Linux distribution from download.grommunio.com.

Install grommunio base system
Install the grommunio base system package and its dependencies using your distribution's package manager.

Install grommunio core
Install the grommunio core (groupware) components and configure them following the Admin Documentation.

Post-install configuration
Complete the post-installation setup including mail routing, TLS certificates, and initial domain configuration.
